Art in the Times of Coronavirus

While we are seeing quarantine orders around the world and the cancellation of art world events, galleries and museums are stepping up to offer virtual art experiences accessible to the public from their homes. Due to the cancellation of its Hong Kong fair, Art Basel will have virtual booths online for each of its exhibitors. The experience opens March 20 and runs through March 25.


Virtual Museum Tours

Many art museums the world over are offering virtual tours of their exhibitions and collections. A recent article from People.com includes a helpful list of virtual art experiences that are available. Google Arts & Culture has partnered with institutions including the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the British Museum, the Musée d’Orsay, the Van Gogh Museum, and countless others to provide opportunities to view art online.
