About Bonnie

IMG_2660 (3).jpg

Ever since she designed clothes for her dolls when she was four, Bonnie Rubenstein has been interested in art. Over the years, that interest took several paths including a sejour in Paris for five years where she studied painting and photography and almost became fluent in French.

After retirement, she decided she could best serve her passion for art by promoting and encouraging other artists.

In 2016 she opened Silo118, a contemporary art gallery in Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone. In the summer of 2018, Rubenstein decided to close the gallery and shift her focus to representing artists to other galleries and museums. Thus the new Silo118 was born.
